One Cold January Night

One Cold January SEPTA Platform

One reason 30th Street Station in Philadelphia is so grand is that trains can arrive to the station from the East and West above ground (the regional SEPTA trains) and also because trains arrive to the station from the North and South underground (the Amtrak trains). The station was built (like the Empire State Building) during the Great Depression (between 1929 and 1933). Its history and architecture never fail to inspire me.

The day will come soon when I am not passing through 30th Street regularly. So I won't mind that I have taken so many pictures of it.

Visit. Hang out there a little while and look around. They also have lots of places to eat there.
